What's New...
Once again, I'm teaching again at Twin Cities Tantsy (TCTantsy), at Music General in Brainerd, and at Spotlight Productions in Eagan.
Until summer, I'm still teaching at Spotlight Dance Productions in Eagan. Here’s a link to their website: http://www.spotlightproductionsdancestudio.com/ I’ll be guest teaching at Music General in Brainerd again this summer 2011. I’ve been traveling up to Music General since 2004. Sue and Dan Kuhn, Mabel Tamasy, Amy Borash, Roseanne Reed, and all the staff, students, and parents have been absolutely marvelous and a joy to work with. They have a beautiful dance complex, with three dance studios, a café with a dance library, a dance wear shop, a sheet music and musical instrument store, and a stage lighting and video/audio production business — all on site. Dan does conventions, shows, and video and audio production work. Here’s the link to Music General’s website: http://www.musicgeneral.com/
NEW on my Ballet Blog (Click this link): “Getting in Touch With Your Inner Ballet Master”. I've written 3 recent blog posts about the recent film, "The Black Swan" (not for the faint-hearted). The titles of my recent posts are: "The Black Swan: The Canary in the Coal Mine of the Collective Unconscious","The Black Swan: The Ancestral Cultural and Psychological Lineage of the Film", and"The Black Swan: Inside the Rabbit Warren of the Fragmenting Mind of the Addicted Personality."Not easy reading, but may be helpful if you happened to see the movie and feel disturbed by its images. Each post takes a slightly different tack, but each post complements the others. Taken together, the three posts present a fuller understanding of the film which may help to salvage some light out of the darkness of this deeply disturbing film. On-going:
I’ve created all-original designs for dancers and non-dancers: T-shirts, mugs, magnets, ornaments, note cards, tiles, baby items, etc. Currently, I have 4 sections in my shop: a “Golden Bough” memorabilia section; a “Ballet Whimsy” section, where you can see my “Bag Lady Designs” and “WilorWear” and “WilorWare” designs; a section featuring my “Original Artwork” from the 1960s (Bet you didn’t know I used to be a painter in my youth!); and a section of non-dance-related fun stuff called “Sheer Silliness”. I’m always trying to make things better organized and stocked, so if you have a “wish list” or a comment, I’d like to receive feedback and ideas for developing things.
